Industry internship regulations
1. If you wish to find an internship on your own, ensure that the company is related to tourism or hospitality and can sign an internship contract with ITH. If these conditions are met, we will accept it.
2. ITH only permits one-semester internships, except in special cases, such as
with China Airlines.
3. Internship participation is not mandatory for ITH students. Please carefully
consider whether you truly want to pursue one, as it may delay your graduation
if you fail to accumulate sufficient elective credits during your sophomore
year.
4. Only internships completed abroad will count toward the "International
Studies" graduation requirement. However, international students can
fulfill this requirement through internships in Taiwan or their home country.
5. Students should note that internship credits are considered external credits
(up to 15 credits) and are categorized as courses taken from other IC
departments.
6. Tuition refunds for internships will be issued in the semester following the
internship's completion. Please refer to the refund rates available on the ISU
Accounting Office website.
